Dog Days of Summer!

We celebrated out 5th wedding anniversary on
Saturday, August 2!

Kevin gave me two choices for a surprise dinner: Royal or Hot. Well, I guessed that Royal might be the Jamaican restaurant, but I couldn't figure out HOT and that intrigued me. Kevin was excited too because it was a new restaurant for both of us. So we drove, drove, drove, parked and walked up the street...

Before my eyes was a heavenly delight: a red sign proclaiming "Dormont Dogs," along with some rainbow umbrellas for the outdoor tables. Bright, bold and hotdoglicious! Kevin's surprise made my night - and while some might whisper "value oriented" for an anniversary dinner, I was pretty much in tears at my wonderful husband's thoughtfulness!
BTW, Dormont Dogs did not disappoint - Kevin had the Dogfather and the Louisiana Dog, I had a Reuben Dog and a Mississippi Ave Dog. Along with some diet coke (which they had to go buy from next door because they were out), and later some Dave and Andy's ice cream, it was a GREAT anniversary! And the pregnant lady was very happy (Even if she was a cheap date)!!!
